I founded Cecil Financial, Inc. on the belief that a holistic approach is best when addressing a client's financial portfolio. It is that belief, coupled with my experience in the financial arena, that allows Cecil Financial to successfully provide personalized, professional service in the areas of insurance, estate planning, investments and retirement planning.
In 2001, I began a six-year partnership with Prudential where I built a solid client base by establishing relationships – not solely conducting transactions - and honed the skills needed to effectively serve as one’s financial steward. Throughout my time with Prudential, I not only added important tools and skills to my professional resume, but I learned the importance of creating both a plan and a process that is easy for clients to understand and charts a successful path towards financial independence.
In 2007, I made the decision to partner with independent broker dealer LPL Financial, the largest independent broker dealer in the country*, and opened the doors to Cecil Financial. Helping people and providing a positive client experience – whether planning for retirement or college expenses – is a true passion of mine and one of the pillars on which Cecil Financial was founded. In addition to developing a custom financial strategy for each client, I conduct regular meetings to review performance, reconfirm financial goals and to make adjustments as economic and/or lifestyle conditions warrant. It is my personal philosophy - and one that I have adopted professionally as well – that planning for the future should feel productive, not challenging.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Raleigh’s own North Carolina State University, and continued my education to obtain my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. I am an avid sports fan and you can always find me enthusiastically cheering on the Wolfpack at football and basketball games.
